장비소개

원자단위의 구조까지 직접 관찰할 수 있는 초고전압 투과전자현미경은 신물질의 구조분석, 저분자량 단백질의 구조규명, 극미세 소재개발 등 기초과학 및 응용과학 분야에서 국가적 공동 활용 연구장비로 운영되고 있습니다.

장비특성

  • 원자분해능(0.12 nm)과 고경사각(±60°)의 동시수행으로 나노물질의 3차원 원자구조 분석 수행 가능
  • 최첨단 에너지필터(HV-GIF) 장착으로 나노물질의 화학분석 수행 가능
  • 특수 제작된 시편홀더를 구비/개발하여 저온과 고온의 실시간 분석 수행 가능

대표적 연구사례

실시간 변온 관찰을 통한 흑린(black phosphorus)의 열분해 메커니즘 규명

HVEM의 실시간 변온 분석시스템을 이용하여 차세대 유망 반도체 소재로 주목 받고 있는 흑린에 대한 열분해 메커니즘을 직접적으로 관찰하여, 층상 구조의 흑린에 대한 초기 열분해 과정에서 표면 결함이 분해 반응의 시작 위치로 작용함을 확인함. 흑린을 기반으로 하는 다양한 소자 및 박막 제조 공정에 필요한 최적화된조건을 확립하는데 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대됨.
