Conducts research using cutting-edge bioimaging technologies, proteomics, and metabolomics to elucidate the fundamental principles of life phenomena, contributing to disease diagnosis, therapy, and new drug development.
Through the integration of bioimaging specialization (Seoul Center) and omics specialization (Seoul Western Center), combines bioimaging technology with quantitative omics data analysis to develop systematic “phenomics” integrated analysis technologies. This enables research in precision medicine, disease diagnostics, biomarker discovery, and drug mechanism elucidation. In addition, produces fundamental data in bioimaging, proteomics, and metabolomics, while providing tailored analytical services to meet researchers’ needs.
- Elucidation of disease mechanisms for major diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic diseases
- Supports efficacy evaluation and mechanism of action research for new drug candidates
- Conducts basic research for the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies
- Provides opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborative research through KBSI’s equipment and expert platform for researchers from diverse backgrounds
- Offers advanced research equipment and analytical technology support (shared-use services) to researchers at domestic universities, research institutes, and industries
