Material Analysis
Research Overview
The Korea Basic Science Institute’s (KBSI) materials analysis research conducts advanced analytical science technology development and related materials research essential for the discovery and performance enhancement of advanced functional materials, including secondary batteries, semiconductors, energy, and environmental materials.
In particular, KBSI focuses on developing advanced characterization technologies through microstructural analysis and quantification of the physical and chemical properties of materials using high-resolution analytical instruments, thereby elucidating the structure–performance relationships of materials with precision.
Furthermore, by promoting the validation of analytical technologies and the commercialization of material development through collaborative research with domestic and international industries and academia, KBSI is securing global competitiveness in future advanced materials and leading the field of global materials analysis research.
