  • Research on fundamental and applied photonic materials through the control of quantum carrier properties. Establishment and operation of advanced research equipment for functional photonic materials research based on quantum properties, and conduct of research to solve challenging problems in the materials field

Research Content

Research Infrastructure

  • Conduct of research on elucidating carrier dynamics such as electrons, holes, excitons, trions, and plasmons in advanced functional photonic materials and on precise control of their properties using ultrafast spectroscopic imaging microscopy with simultaneous time, space, and energy resolution (FLIM and STED-FLIM)
  • The quantum photonic materials research field (Wonsik Chae, Hwanuk Kim, Jeonghyeon Ha) is conducting research on the fundamental properties and applications of materials/devices for semiconductors, displays, photocatalysts, sensors, and solar cells using photonic materials through domestic and international collaborative research.
