Earth and Environmental
Research Overview
The Korea Basic Science Institute’s (KBSI) Earth and Environmental Research plays a central role in domestic earth and environmental sciences, based on world-class infrastructure for age-dating and isotope analysis.
It conducts multidisciplinary convergence research to address national and social issues, such as comprehensive responses to earth-environmental issues, precise age-dating in earth sciences and paleoanthropology, active fault surveys, climate change studies, origin tracing of agricultural products and pollutants, radioactive contamination remediation technologies, and mineral resource acquisition.
