Research Overview
The Bio Division of the Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) conducts research focused on elucidating the mechanisms of various diseases and infectious diseases, as well as developing diagnostic methods and therapies, based on precise characterization of biomaterials and advanced bioimaging analysis.
In particular, aiming to enhance competitiveness in the field of bioscience and technology, KBSI promotes interdisciplinary analytical science research using state-of-the-art bio research equipment and infrastructure.
Furthermore, by securing core technologies and establishing research platforms for early diagnosis of diseases and therapeutic development, KBSI fosters collaborative research to help address national and societal challenges.
