Research Overview
The Korea Basic Science Institute’s (KBSI) research on scientific equipment development designs and manufactures advanced research instruments optimized for the domestic research environment, and independently develops high-performance equipment essential for basic science research, thereby contributing to enhancing national scientific and technological competitiveness./p>
In addition, KBSI leads the sustainable growth of the national scientific equipment industry by supporting the strengthening of technical capabilities of equipment companies and improving the reliability of domestically produced instruments. It also conducts joint research among industry, academia, and research institutes to secure original technologies for scientific equipment, while performing maintenance of advanced instruments, performance enhancement, and development of ultra-precision processing technologies.
